Honda's adventure-ready NX500 delivers a proven mix of agile handling, adventure-touring versatility, and a responsive twin-cylinder engine. This motorcycle combines rugged capability with effortless operation to make every ride memorable, whether it is a daily commute or weekend exploration.

First introduced in 2013 as the CB500X, this model brought crossover adventure style to Honda's fun-focused light-middleweight twin-cylinder platform. Its utility stemmed from a simple formula: a lively, respected twin-cylinder engine offering strong torque and drive from low rpm while revving hard at the top end, paired with a chassis that ensured comfortable riding on the open highway and around town, all enclosed in distinctive adventure styling.

Guided by customer feedback, the bike grew more adventurous over time. A 2016 update added fresh styling, a taller windscreen, LED lighting, an adjustable brake lever, and a spring-preload-adjustable fork. In 2019, another evolution occurred when the front wheel switched from 17 inches to 19 inches, injecting even more "True Adventure" performance. The CB500X provided adaptability and competence for diverse owners, seamlessly transitioning between weekend tourer and short-hop commuter roles. Long-travel suspension smoothed out irregular road surfaces, an upright riding position offered comfort and a wide field of view, and a wide handlebar supplied leverage. Following its proven popularity, the CB500X received further enhancements for the 2022 model year, featuring a lightweight swingarm, dual front disc brakes, a redesigned front wheel, and a high-quality 41mm SFF-BP inverted fork.

For the 2024 model year, Honda preserved the bike's core character while refining the formula. The name changed to NX500 to establish a unique identity, accompanied by premium technology, aggressively redesigned styling, and various detail upgrades.

Guided by the "Daily Crossover" design theme, the NX500 fits in anywhere—from gravel trails and winding roads to highways and city blocks—with styling that blends an imposing silhouette and solidity of form with compact, adventure-ready usability. An LED headlight design provides excellent beam penetration while emitting wide light distribution for exceptional nighttime visibility. This is paired with an LED taillight, and all remaining lighting is also LED.

Meter / Controls: The five-inch full-color TFT screen utilizes optical bonding to maximize visibility in bright sunlight. Resin seals the gap between the TFT screen and cover glass to optimize backlight transmittance and minimize glare. Riders can customize display patterns (Simple, Circle, and Bar), and navigating the TFT settings is intuitive and simple thanks to the backlit four-way toggle switch located on the left handlebar.
